John Corson's Blog

In yesterday's writing I stated that my endless musing over Reggie was coming to an end. However, I just want to say that sitting in this office (my home office) with his towels bunched up into a bed next to my desk is a constant distraction. As I type these words, I find it hard to talk about what's on my mind. Of course, it is him.

But my Grandson Wesley has come up from Charleston, South Carolina. His father, Brad, went down and met with his ex-wife's new husband who brought Wesley up to the North Carolina border to hand him off to Brad, and together, they got in around 1:00 am this morning. As I type these words, Wesley is downstairs playing with his Nintendo Switch and Brad is still in the bed, sleeping off the long drive he made yesterday which encompassed nearly nine hours.

It is the day before Thanksgiving. I am glad to have my grandson up as he is a very pleasant distraction from the grief I am still experiencing. He is a live wire. Wesley is 98 percent energy and 2 percent loving. Well, let's just say, he is all loving with a great mixture of spitfire! Because of him visiting for such a short time (he has to leave Sunday afternoon), I will spend a lot of time with him. That is good and should provide some needed therapy.

Brad will be getting up soon to start with the Thanksgiving Day Dinner preparations. It's so good having a chef around the house. He will be preparing a large meal for at least twelve family members who will be coming to share in the experience. Matt will be here with his two kids, who both have "dates." That is five. Timmy and his daughter Mariah will be here. That is seven. Daniel will try and make it although he is fighting off bronchitus. He will be bringing his step-son Logan. His wife has to work. That is nine. Then, there will be Janice, Wesley and me - that is twelve. And, not to forget the chef, there will be Brad, although like a typical chef, he won't be sitting down to eat as he will be eating bits and pieces of his artistry all day long and won't be hungry when the rest of us sits down to eat.

I am not writing much today. First, I have company. Second, sitting here in this office is not the thing that will brighten my day. And finally, the Spitfire is standing right here wondering what I am doing. So, ...

If I don't write anything for tomorrow, please know that I hope everyone who reads these words has a wonderful Thanksgiving. That goes out to all ONE of you! LOL (maybe there are two or three - who knows?)

Blog for November 23 Blog for November 25

Blogs are about the blogger. It's as if he or she merely toots their own horns about the things they do, say and love.

My life is boring. I read, I watch Glenn Beck and Mark Levin. I listen to Andrew Wilkow. I engage in some conversation with those who are willing to listen (they being masochistic and enjoy killing themselves with my banter).

I plan on just laying out the things that bother me and the things I love. Nothing in-between. I hope you find whatever I put here amusing.
