Starting a Blog

Well, I spent the afternoon putting together this site (pages, templates, coding, et. al. and that came after doing some yard work that the boss lady ordered me to do. Digging up weeds and shoveling dirt for a couple of hours leave a lot to be desired. I just hate "Honey-Do" work.

I had a weird dream last night. I dreamed I was single, lonely and trying to spread my winds by introducing myself to someone with the hope of striking up a descent conversation, maybe making a new friend (of the female persuasion, of course). I looked over across some crowded room and spied -- of all people -- Marielena Balouris, a news anchor for channel 10 news in Portsmouth, VA. She was talking to another woman and I waited until she walked off to get a coke, by herself. I tried to introduce myself to her, but she was about as interested in talking to me as I would be if I was the target in a shooting contest. We said "hell-o" to each other and she got the heck away from me. Was it my body odor, or did I forget to change my socks?

I slept over 9 hours last night and woke up today around 9 am. After a little digging and weeding in Janice's garden I went to *$$ for a Pumpkins Spice cold brew (coffee folks). Then, I went by my local McDonald's only to discover that they had the drive way and drive thru blocked off, a building crew with a crane in place and a "For Sale" sign place strangely the other side of the drive way which may, or may not be, a sign for the McDonal's property. I was craving their fries to go along with the cold brew (what a combo).

I arrived home without the fries and I decided to fix one of the pre-cooked chicken sandwiches which can be found in the frozen food section of Sam's Club. I think they are delicious, but Janice thinks they taste too sweet and "picklely". Anyway, I downed mine and decided, "Hey, let's blog!"

So, I started creating this website. Now I know I will be working on this thing for at least a couple of weeks, so now I have uundertaking something I know I will expand upon in the days ahead. I was watching an episode of Last Man Standing and there Mandy (once played by another young lady who I once dreamed about (Molly Ephraim), who commented about her blog having audio and video downloads available for all her peeps. I may do that too!

And why were you dreaming about Molly? Shame on you!

Well, if you have ever watched the show in its first six seasons, Molly played this highly energetic middle daughter of the main character played by Tim Allen. She is (was) portrayed as the spacy, spastic highly goofy and often gaffe-prone girl who everyone would think is oblivious to everything by prada shoes, goochy bags and the Kardashians. She had me in stiches laughing at her antics so much I had to keep an extra pair of underpants on hand because my bladdar would be stable enough for me to enjoy the comedy!

Anyway, back to this website and blog. I have been working on this site for the last four and a half hours. With the exception of two or three interruptions that start out like this: "John (or Honey) can you come in here and help me with ..." and supper, I have arrived at this point.

More to come tomorrow!

  Blog for October 4

Blogs are about the blogger. It's as if he or she merely toots their own horns about the things they do, say and love.

My life is boring. I read, I watch Glenn Beck and Mark Levin. I listen to Andrew Wilkow. I engage in some conversation with those who are willing to listen (they being masochistic and enjoy killing themselves with my banter).

I plan on just laying out the things that bother me and the things I love. Nothing in-between. I hope you find whatever I put here amusing.
