John Corson's Blog

for September 10, 2021

After I posted yesterday's blog it had all but stopped raining. Just some light rain and mist, but it remained cloudy for the rest of the day and into the night. The rain did start to pick up a little in the early evening and then was very light until about 10:00. Of course, that meant that I was not going to spend any time out on the back deck, listening to music or sipping wine or drinking Lynchburg Lemonaids. In fact, I have only had one double LL since last Friday. It's all the burping I do afterwards and it gives me acid indigestion. I have to take antacid before and a couple of Tums after drinking LLs.

No big events took place last night. Just the usual couple of episodes of Cheers as Janice and I binge watch this sitcom. Then, Jeopardy, and then off to bed goes Janice. I read a little and watched and episode of Grimm.

I will be so glad when the regular season of network dramas return later this month. On my watch list includes The Rookie, NCIS (which has changed nights and times from Tuesday 8pm to Monday at 9pm), The Good Doctor, Bull (whick has moved from Mondays at 10pm to Thursday at 10), FBI (which has moved from Thursdays at 9pm to Tuesdays at 8pm), FBI:Most Wanted (which has moved from Thursdays at 10pm to Tuesdays at 10), The Blacklist (which has moved from Friday 9pm to Thursday at 8), and, of course Blue Bloods (which is staying at its usual time for season 12). No I won't be watching Sunday Night Football, Thursday Nght Football or the new Saturday Night Football since I am boycotting the NFL for the third straight season; this time it is because they have recognized and will have sung before each and every game the so-called "Black National Anthem." They should just wait until the Democrats vote to change "The Star-Spangled Banner" out for "Lift Every Voice and Sing" which they will do before they loose power in the Congress next November. I am sure of it.

This morning I got the day off to a slow start. I blew off breakfast and just watched some of The Glenn Beck Program on BlazeTV. While I was engaged in his discussions I washed a load of laundry then I went to pick up the four suits I took to the dry cleaner Wedneday. I took Reggie with me. We came back to the house I folded the laundry, hung them and my dry cleaned suits up, and then I decided to go to A.J. Gators for a Turkey and Ham Club sandwich and some sweet iced tea.

When I got back I sat down here to pen these words. Hey! I have a few things to talk about, actually to gripe about, but you know, this is a nice sunny day with about 76 degree temperatures, low humidity and a back yard that needs cutting, so I will stop for now and without making any promises, I may come back to type in a few more words or maybe lay out a few complaints. Who knows?

Blog for September 9 Blog for September 11

Blogs are about the blogger. It's as if he or she merely toots their own horns about the things they do, say and love.

My life is boring. I read, I watch Glenn Beck and Mark Levin. I listen to Andrew Wilkow. I engage in some conversation with those who are willing to listen (they being masochistic and enjoy killing themselves with my banter).

I plan on just laying out the things that bother me and the things I love. Nothing in-between. I hope you find whatever I put here amusing.
