John Corson's Blog

for September 13, 2021

Well Good Grief! It's nearly 10:00 pm and I haven't written a word for this blog today! I know: The blessing is all yours since you haven't had to bare with it so far today.

Not that it has really been a busy day, I just think that sometimes, writing in the morning lets a lot of the things happening the rest of the day go unsaid. Sometimes I catch you up in the next day's rant, but most of the time I just let it slide. Nothing has really happened this morning on into the early afternoon. I mainly read a few sections out of James Simpson's latest book Who Was Karl Marx? I know, I certainly spend a lot of time reading about Communism, Karl Marx and Communists who lived and performed evil in the last 140 years. That's because I want to know what the Democrats are doing to our country. Actually, the Democrats in Congress and in the White House are really doing the bidding of the Left for the Left screams the loudest, accuses everyone not like them of being every phobic under the sun and because they get the attention of the media and everything else influential in society today, they are the ones pulling the strings of the Democrats. And pulling the Left's strings? Why it's the Antichrist. Some know him better as George Soros.

Oh no! Here goes John on a rampage against the Left again! No, not really. I was just saying that I was reading a new book today about Karl Marx and those who were influenced by him and it does happen to be my 17th book in the last couple of years dealing with the topic of Communism. And, yes, it is true, I see right through the pages the ideology that leads to conformity that commits to destruction that is the Left and legalized by the actions, or inactions of the Democrat Party. So, that book took up a couple of hours today.

But this afternoon featured the annual physical examination and visit to my Primary Care Physician. She went over my labs which I had done a week and a half before; scolded me on my starch and sugar intake; told me I need to loss at least 12 pounds, preferably 15 or more; and wants me to take the Covid vaccination. Now, I don't want to get into a long disputation over the vaccine, whether to take it or not. I am not an "anti-vaxer," as I heard someone call those who are against people taking it. I just don't see the need to take it since most reputable studies have shown that those with type O blood (check) who take a lot of Vitamin C (check) and D (check) as well as zinc (check) are less susceptible to getting Covid than not. I was also tested for the antibodies and (check) I'm good. But, she wants me to get it sometime in the near future as it will only build upon those antibodies and I will have a passport so that I can travel to those states that already have their Communist rules in place. Not only that, I will have it in hand for when President Biden orders, under penalty of a stiff imprisonment sentence and thousands of dollars in fines, that you must be vaccinated. "Papers, Please!" "No papers, you get arrested and shot!" Hey! Don't you Leftist love to cram it down our throats that when it comes to abortions for women it is "My body, My choice?" Well, this is my body, why is it Joe Biden's choice. I'm pulling my pants down and bending over, Ole Joe. Now you pucker up!

Well, after the doctor's visit, I went to the local Chick-Fil-A, had not one, but two chicken sandwiches (I didn't have lunch) and went on to church to print out my sermon outline for Sunday, do a little office work and settle in for a good old fashion Deacon's Meeting - How wonderful.

It's not that I don't like my Deacons. I really do. It's not that I don't like meeting with the Deacons. I just hate the time not well spent, as most of the business is really about the building and building program and about things not really in the purview of the Deacons, Save it for the various ministries or teams (what used to be called "committees"). We had to devote some time to going over the needs of a few members of the church and the need for the Deacons to call or visit the various members they have under their care. Since Covid, it seems all but one Deacon has dropped the ball in that area. So we did discuss and worked to encouraged the six men in that room to make contact with their "families" or members under their care. That was a plus, but only if they follow through. It's the follow through which moves the meetings from being a talk session to a ministry session. It's a wait and see now.

So, that is about it for my day. Tomorrow I will see my dermatologist early, then on to church for office hours and then, Bible Study at 1:30. I should be home around 3:15 and maybe - I said "maybe" I will sit down here and gripe some about what is bothering me.

Blog for September 12 Blog for September 14

Blogs are about the blogger. It's as if he or she merely toots their own horns about the things they do, say and love.

My life is boring. I read, I watch Glenn Beck and Mark Levin. I listen to Andrew Wilkow. I engage in some conversation with those who are willing to listen (they being masochistic and enjoy killing themselves with my banter).

I plan on just laying out the things that bother me and the things I love. Nothing in-between. I hope you find whatever I put here amusing.
